The Success of the Company.
The HTU Technology presented by Movanta is the result of the pioneering work of Jaap Naber and Frans Goudriaan. These two scientists were instrumental in the development and refinement of the HTU process, which has become a cornerstone of Movanta's biofuels production.
Naber and Goudriaan have decades of experience in the field of renewable energy and have made significant contributions to the development of sustainable energy solutions. They recognized the potential of the HTU process for biofuels production and worked tirelessly to optimize the technology to make it more energy efficient and cost-effective.

Frans Goudriaan
Frans Goudriaan is a scientist and research engineer with a wide experience in process development for over 50 years. He studied Chemical Technology at TU Delft and graduated at Twente University. He worked with Shell Research for 25 years in a variety of fields, and was for 8 years the project leader of HTU process development.
In 1996 together with Jaap Naber he founded Biofuel B.V. This company coordinated the finalization of the HTU development, including work with a 100 kg/h pilot plant.
Jaap Naber
Jaap Naber is a seasoned scientist and director. He has more than 40 years of experience in sustainable energy and circular economy solutions..
He has a background in chemistry and has worked in the Oil, Gas and Energy industry, specialised in the Biofuel sector. Prior to founding Movanta, he was a co-founder of BioFuel BV.
Tjalling Terpstra
Tjalling Terpstra; as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations.
Terpstra has over 40 years of global experience in managing businesses and projects having worked in leadership roles for several energy, oil and gas companies, and EPC contractors prior to joining Movanta.
Tjalling is a Registered and Chartered Project Manager (APM) and certified Construction Manager.

In his role as Chief Business Officer (CBO), Roel Koetzier will be responsible for driving Movanta's growth strategy and expanding the company's presence in new markets. Roel Koetzier is a seasoned director with a demonstrated history of working in the energy, catalyst and chemical industry. He is an executive with over 25 years of experience in international business development and commercial operations.
Jan Jacob Bleeker is our Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Jan Jacob brings 35 years of experience in the petrochemicals and refining industries, notably in Operational Excellence, R&D management and technology licensing with a clear passion for sustainability and innovation.
